Rose Gold is my latest beauty editorial published in Elegant Magazine. I had such a great time styling, photographing, and retouching the photos. Executing creative shoots is a great way to grow in skill, and I learn something valuable every time!
For many of my shoots, I act as both photographer and creative director. When planning an editorial, I always define a concept beforehand. I pull inspiration images of mood, tone, and posing so that my team understands my vision. For this shoot, I wanted to showcase dainty jewels and a metallic, rosy color palette. My main inspiration was drawn from the stacks of thin gemstone rings. I wanted soft, dreamy expressions and delicate posing. The silky blush blouses added shine, texture, and color without overpowering the model or jewelry.
I partnered with talented hair and makeup artist Alexis Broderick of Rouge Refinery. She brought the warm color palette and metallic tones I was going for while keeping a classic overall look. She is also an experienced stylist with amazing attention to detail. Always love having her on my set!
Our model is the stunning Kymara Stokes with Sculp Agency. I came across her at a runway event and knew I had to photograph her. She has a striking gaze and delicate bone structure perfect for a romantic beauty editorial. She was the sweetest to work with and a natural in front of the camera.

It was an honor to be featured in Elegant Magazine, seeing my work in print is always exciting! I’m very pleased with how this beauty editorial turned out, and appreciate my team for their hard work.
